OXFORD’S MENTOR-PROTÉGÉ AGREEMENT WITH HEALTH MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATES, INC. FORMALLY ANNOUNCED. On August 16, 2020, the Small Business Administration notified OXFORD that its application under the All Small Mentor-Protégé Program (ASMPP), between Oxford Government Consulting, LLC (Protégé) and Health Management Associates, Inc. (Mentor) was approved.
The Agreement will be effective for six years.
Health Management Associates (HMA) has extensive experience leading and supporting IT projects for government and private clients across a wide range of initiatives – including, most recently, Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), Health Insurance Exchanges (HIX), Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES) and systems required to implement high-performing Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Patient Centered Medical Homes (PCMHs) and Medicaid Health Homes. HMA provides independent IT consulting and advisory services. HMA specializes in system needs assessment, requirement development, financing, procurement and contract negotiation, implementation, performance monitoring and evaluation. HMA staff are experts in Health Information Technology (HIT) policies and initiatives, including those that relate to federally sponsored initiatives such as the Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program – HMA has been working closely with CMS since 2011 on the implementation of this program. The goals and objectives of Oxford’s Mentor-Protégé Agreement (MPA) with Health Management Associates, Inc. are for key advisory services, including: management and technical assistance, contracting assistance, and business development alignment. The purpose of the ASMPP is to enhance the development of the protégé and encourage approved mentors to provide various forms of assistance to eligible ASMPP participants to ensure contracting opportunity, experience, and overall growth viability. The MPA will be monitored and reviewed annually by the SBA.
With this Agreement, Oxford is making significant investment of time and resources in partnering to continue to provide strategic services in the health care sector.
