Oxford Government Consulting (Oxford) is seeking entry-level data operators in support of a records management digitalization program.

Job Summary:

  • Full time, entry level position in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia.
  • On-site 100%. This is not a remote position.
  • National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)/Moderate Tier 2 is required to successfully obtain position. The candidate will complete the required process with Oxford Government Consulting before hire.
  • The Data Entry Operator I operates a keyboard-controlled data entry devices such as a computer, key-operated magnetic tape, microfiche machine, or disc encoder to transcribe data into a format suitable for computer processing.
  • Job task requires skill in operating an alphanumeric keyboard, and an understanding of transcribing procedures and relevant data entry equipment.
  • The position works under close supervision and follows specific procedures and detailed instructions.
  • The Data Entry Operator I works from standardized operating procedures and job aids.
  • Work is routine and repetitive.
  • Work involves reviewing the optical character recognition process and extraction process for accuracy, indexing, quality assurance, and data entry.
  • The Data Entry Operator I operates data entry devices to support the indexing and electronic quality assurance of both original paper-based forms and alternate media documents into electronic format.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizen.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0–2 years of experience in the field or related area.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the records management field.
  • Experience with digitalization quality assurance and indexing a plus.
  • Optional: Proficient with Mekel MACH7 microfiche machine operation, DVD conversion activities.
  • Optional: Proficient with audio/video conversion equipment.
  • High keystrokes per hour.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Must work well with coworkers and managers.
  • Must be able to monitor email account daily.
  • Must be able to work at computers for long periods of time, for 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, complete simple hand grasps, reach with hands and arms, sit, talk, and hear.
  • Repetitive motion is required.

General clerks perform a variety of document conversion tasks. General clerks work under general supervision and report to a supervisor.
